ANNIE O'KEEFFE
ANNIE O'KEEFFE
As a child, Halo, (Hoopin' Annie Leffingwell O'Keeffe) hooped for fun. Around May 5, 2005, she thought it would be great to have an international holiday for hooping, but that blossomed into a dream to have the whole world hoop for peace by December 2012.
To accomplish this goal, she knew hoops would have to be donated to those who could not afford one.
ABSOLUTE KAOS ANOMALY, KEVIN O'KEEFFE
On the front of his dad's boat, floating in the San Francisco Bay, you can see that Kevin is a natural born hooper. Dedicating his time and efforts unconditionally, Kevin tirelessly contributed to the World Hoop Day events and initiated hoop drops in Mexico at orphanages, schools and community social halls.
In addition to Kevin's taping, hoop making, and performing skills, Kevin's finances were the main support of the start of World Hoop Day. Kevin is a power to experience, a master builder of many of San Francisco's tallest buildings, metal sculptures and revealing light where there is darkness. See the skylights he installed HERE.

STEFAN PILDES, Groove Hoops
Back in 2004, Stefan reminded Annie of the fun of hooping -- in her 30s and inspired her to keep trying. It took her nearly 6 months to keep it on her waist again, and because Stefan kindly gave her some hoops to take home and practice, she was able to enjoy the skill she had once as a child. I always introduced him as a Professional Hula Hooper - and he still is.
He has a part in The Hooping Life movie, supported World Hoop Day in its early years and continues to give hoops on every one of his international trips.
Stefan created GrooveHoops and with a variety of other hoop-stars, including Annie, performed in front of New York's Governor Pataki, in clubs, at the Kentucky Derby, with Cirque du Soleil, in parades, and much, much more. Check out GrooveHoops for more about Stefan.

New York State Department of State recognizes World Hoop Day as a Non Profit Entity in the Division of Corporations. The Initial DOS filing date was July 18, 2007 under Section 204 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law as a Type B corporation pursuant to Section 201 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. As specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 the Corporation is exempt from federal income tax and contributions to which are deductible under section 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
